Mr Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie, General
Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called
on supporters of the party to vote massively for Nana Akufo-Addo on
December 7th for better management of the country’s
resources.
He said the NPP was the only party
which could transform the country’s economy and ensure equal
sharing of the national cake, create jobs and provide free Senior
High School (SHS) education.
Mr Owusu-Afriyie was addressing
supporters of the NPP at the final rally at the Effua Sutherlands
Children’s Park in Accra on Wednesday.
He said it was the responsibility of
supporters of the party to protect their rights by staying away 50
meters of the polling stations after the voting and also take note
of whatever transpires at the center.
Mr Owusu-Afriyie said the government
had sent to each region amoured vehicles but Kumasi alone had
ten.
He said supporters should be
vigilant and that whoever attempted to snatch a ballot box should
be shown the way to the Police Station.
In an Interview with some supporters
Ismael Yahaya of Ashaiman said the executive of the party would do
all they could to close the margins of votes that
always come from the Volta Region
every election.
Mr Bright Appiah of Kasoa noted that
the NPP free SHS policy was the only one which could rescue
Ghanaians from the educational crises.
Ms Akua Danso of Dansoman said:
“Nana Addo is my man and he is the one I am going to vote for
because I want him to lead this country and transform the economy
to a better one.”
Mrs Elizabeth Donkor of La, urged
supporters of the party to propagate all the positive achievements
of the NPP government under former President John Agyekum Kufuor in
their homes for people to vote the NPP come December 7th 2012,
adding. “Ghanaians would return the NPP party to power.”
