Jubilant stabs to
death
A 17-year-old unemployed, Ayaoba Nyaaba, who was
celebrating the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) victory in last
Friday’s polls died instantly on Sunday when a tricycle he was
seated on with two others somersaulted.
The incident happened at Baakoniaba, a suburb of Sunyani at

autopsy.
The rider, Felix Abodoo was treated for his injuries at the
Sunyani Government Hospital. He is in police custody awaiting
prosecution for riding without a licence, careless and inconsiderate ridding. The
second passenger is still on admissions at the
hospital.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Teddy Damptey Brown,
Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Commander of Motor Traffic and
Transport Unit, (MTTU) told the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani, that
the incident happened in the midst of a group of NDC supporters,
who were celebrating with motor bikes, tricycles and
cars.
He pointed out that most of the riders using the tricycles

riders, to exercise restraint in their jubilation so that they do
not put the public at risk.
